GoConnectIQ is a tool from EngagePro. This page explains what the GoConnectIQ Profile Capture browser extension does with information, and where to find the policy for the rest of GoConnectIQ.
What the extension is
GoConnectIQ Profile Capture is a Chrome extension that helps a GoConnectIQ member turn a LinkedIn or Alignable profile they are viewing into a Meet report on their GoConnectIQ account.
What it reads, and when
The extension reads a page only when you click “Generate Meet Report” on the button it shows on a profile page, or from its toolbar icon. It does not read pages in the background, does not open or follow other profiles, and does not collect your browsing history.
When you click, it reads the details visible on the profile you are viewing: the person’s name, headline, location, company, About text, experience and education lines, profile link and profile photo. You then see these in a form where you can change or remove anything before choosing to send it. You also pick a gender, and you may add website links, extra details or a photo of your own.
What it sends, and where
When you click “Generate” in the form, the extension sends the details shown in the form to GoConnectIQ at goconnectiq.com over HTTPS, together with your personal GoConnectIQ API key so we know which account the report belongs to. The extension sends nothing to any other server.
To write the report, GoConnectIQ uses these service providers:
- OpenAI receives the profile details in order to write the report.
- SerpApi, a Google search service, receives the person’s name and profile link in order to find public information about them.
- Amazon Web Services hosts GoConnectIQ, where the report and the details you sent are stored.
The report and the details you sent are saved on your GoConnectIQ account until you delete the contact from your dashboard. You can also ask us to delete them (see “Your choices” below).
What it keeps on your device
Your GoConnectIQ API key, saved in your browser’s local extension storage. It is not synced to other devices and is sent only to goconnectiq.com. You can remove it at any time in the extension’s Settings (save an empty key) or by uninstalling the extension.
What we do not do
- We do not sell the profile details you capture or your personal data.
- We do not use them for advertising. The extension has no ads, analytics or third-party trackers.
- We do not use them for anything other than generating your Meet report.
- We do not use them to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
- We do not read private messages, contacts, or any LinkedIn or Alignable page you did not choose to capture.
People whose profiles you capture
Profile details come from pages that those people made visible to you on LinkedIn or Alignable. You are responsible for using the extension and the reports in line with LinkedIn’s and Alignable’s terms and the privacy laws that apply to you. GoConnectIQ Profile Capture is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation or Alignable, Inc.
Your choices
- Delete a contact and its report from your GoConnectIQ dashboard at any time.
- Remove or replace your API key in the extension’s Settings, or generate a new one from the GoConnectIQ user menu (API Key). Generating a new key stops the old one from working.
- To ask us to delete or correct information, or if you are a person named in a report and want it removed, happiness@engagepro.com, or use the “Contact Us” button at the bottom right of this page. You do not need an account to contact us.
